About the Book

DESCRIPTION
This book describes a promising young man called "Emmanuel Ofobuike" who was very anxious of attaining greater heights after his NYSC.

NYSC stands for National Youth Service Corps. It is a mandatory one year programme instituted by Nigerian government to all her fresh graduates.
Emmanuel Ofobuike graduated from prestigious Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic Unwana in flying colours with 2nd class upper division honours. He was overwhelmed with happiness the day he saw his name published as one of the candidates enlisted for the next NYSC programme. He registered for the NYSC programme when the portal was opened for the registration and eventually find himself in an NYSC camp. The camp was fun filled and tedious simultaneously just like that of a literary statement known as "painful laughter". He ignored the painful nature of the camp and embraced its joyful part as his mind was only focused on his success. After camp activities he was posted to a farm called CSS global integrated farms. He diligently discharged his duties as an electrical Engineer within his stay in the company. He was not retained in the company after his service year due to some irregularities there.

After his service year, he then realized that to succeed in life is not bed of roses. He was struck in his brain with an Igbo adage which states that "it is not the way bitter kola sounds in the ear that it sweets in the mouth". He was worried about where to start life from as not to make financial mistakes. He applied for so many jobs both within his field and outside his field of study. After so many considerations, he took a bold step and rented an apartment in Abuja, Nigeria from his savings. From there his journey of life started.

He taught of the business his little savings could start as job was not coming through and later started POS (point of sale) business. At a start, the profit coming from the POS business was as slow as that of a walking chameleon not pursued by an enemy. After a while, the business started doing well and he became extremely happy that God was with him as his name implies. He remained in the POS business doing well until a car deal came in which was suggested to him by his boss (the shop owner of the POS stand) and he accepted the deal. He had no experience of car then neither did he know how to drive but he believed that his boss would not deceive him into the wrong path. Every arrangement was made for the car purchase and he eventually paid for the car and it became his.

He learnt driving using the car and then started using it for taxi driving known as cabu cabu in Nigeria. He had series of accident with the car. He finally parked the car after his pocket was totally dried due to his last accident which nearly claimed his life. He became like a sheep without shepherd just like that of a cursed child whose success was under hold. Depression came in, taking suicide was constantly rigging into his mind as he complained bitterly to God that life was not fair with him even though he was fair in complexion. He consoled himself thereafter and started re-applying for jobs.

After several applications, he succeeded in landing himself a marketing job in one Advanced rhinos crew investment company. The work did not go well with him and he left the work after some trials and then moved into dispatch riding in one company called urban tracers. Still the dispatch work didn't go well with him. He left the work after several trials and became jobless again. He taught of several ideas within his mind but his brain was completely empty from ideas just like that of a wildered tree during harmattan period. One day as he was scrolling through his facebook wall, he saw a post of how tech and media spaces were paying heavily. However, Emmanuel Ofobuike worked tirelessly to scale through life challenges.
