About the Book

This is a work of fiction by Sean David Stoltenburg created as a ritual project in January of 2016. This is a synopsis and behind the scenes account of the 1979 Italian exploitation film "Nympho Zombie Cult", which never existed. This book originally meant to compliment the album "Nympho Zombie Cult" which was composed by Sean David Stoltenburg meant to invoke the style of the classic soundtracks to Italian horror cinema of the late 70s and early 80s, however, it was the story and intricate detail to the fantasy world in which "Nympho Zombie Cult" exists that proved to be the standout piece of the set. This version includes notes from the author about how the story went on to expand itself through a social media "fan site" in which people could interact with the characters within the story, as well as gives an outline to what was meant to become the sequel EP "CANNIBAL ONE", which was created, but never came to full fruition. As a bonus, this edition includes a short story titled "Pumpkineater" which is another fake film referenced within "Nympho Zombie Cult" and was also a song by the author's punk band at the time Coffin Spell. This short story originally appeared within the liner notes of the expanded edition of their album "Mystic Seer" that included a booklet called "The Complete Grimoire of the Mystic Seer" which is now out of print. The soundtrack album to "Nympho Zombie Cult" is also still available for those who wish to get the full experience.
About the Author: Sean David Stoltenburg is an artist, musician, and author from Central Pennsylvania. After spending much of his life pursuing music in various bands of various genres within the punk scene, he began to feel disconnected from this form of expression and began moving toward his underlying interest in writing first by testing the waters with a short story telling the tale of a nonexistent 1970s Italian horror movie "Nympho Zombie Cult" that he also created a soundtrack for. His first book "Brimstone Road" was a cathartic project originally only regionally released. It's purposely venomous and represents the author's proverbial "shedding of skin" as he marks his territory and draws the line in the sand between himself and "them". The essays are raw, but they are authentic and personal. The second release, the booklet "Transmogrify" originally began as an outline of ideas meant for the foundation of a death care advocacy group to be called Obsequy. Instead it became a record of a transformation of the author as all of the recklessness found in "Brimstone Road" begins to take shape into a lifestyle philosophy. "Vade Mecum", the author's third release comes after his complete departure from music, after leaving the horror themed surf band he founded called Coffin Spell to focus solely on his personal transformation both intellectually and physically."Vade Mecum" includes over 30 Articles written for the collective Humans Remain, which he founded in 2016. The Articles touch on topics that range from fitness, education, meditation, and more, all written within the context of the author's own unique perspective. This book outlines the philosophy and purpose of Humans Remain while setting a solid foundation for the self-reliant lifestyle culture that is being cultivated by its founder as well as its members.
