A devotional story for the whole family, Nyger's Lenten Journey teaches the most important lessons about the life and death of Jesus in a simple and direct manner.
Offering traditions and activities to share with loved ones during the forty days of Lent, Pat Durham's family-oriented devotional takes you on a journey with a square-faced field rat named Nyger and his friends-human, animal, and divine.
As the animals take shelter in a hilltop church, they learn about the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for all of us and the hope he gave to the world when he rose from the dead: the promise of eternal life.
The essential messages are easy to understand through the entertaining and inspirational tales, and children as young as three can begin to grasp the deeper meaning of Lent and Easter. The scripture sprinkled throughout the stories offers more complex lessons for older children to reflect upon, and adults will love the overall messages of sacrifice, love, faith, and hope.
Nyger's Lenten Journey is the ideal inspirational gift for a child at Easter and for educational, entertaining family time.
