Anschließend wird anhand von ausgewählten Marketinginstrumenten aufgezeigt, wie diese im Unternehmen Verein X umgesetzt werden und inwiefern man diese noch ausbauen kann, um eine bessere Marketingsituation zu erreichen und wettbewerbsfähiger zu sein. Hierbei wird sich vor allem auf die Produkt- und die Preispolitik beschränkt, da sie für Verein X am relevantesten sind. Die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit von Unternehmen und besonders von Verein X hat somit auch eine bedeutende Rolle in dieser Arbeit. Aufgrund des beschränkten Umfangs dieser Arbeit kann nicht jeder Aspekt berücksichtigt werden. So beinhalten die einzelnen Marketinginstrumente sicherlich mehr Aspekte, als in dieser Arbeit erwähnt. Es werden lediglich solche Punkte angeführt, die für die Analyse des Unternehmens Verein X hinsichtlich der Marketingsituation von Nöten sind. Man unterscheidet zwei Typen der Wettbewerbsfähigkeit. Zum Einen die Nicht-Preis-Wettbewerbsfähigkeit und zum Anderen die Preis-Wettbewerbsfähigkeit. Preiswettbewerbsfähig zu sein bedeutet, seine Dienstleistungen zu Preisen absetzen zu können, die die Kosten decken und darüber hinaus eine Rendite erzielen. Die Nicht-Preis-Wettbewerbsfähigkeit umfasst die restlichen Faktoren, die zur Wettbewerbsfähigkeit und zum Absatz beitragen, z.B. Produktqualität, Service durch den Mitarbeiter, Design und Finanzierungsbedingungen. Außerdem ist ein Unternehmen wettbewerbsfähig, wenn es seinen Marktanteil halten kann.
