About the Book

"There's another one, Ady!" Cam said, referring to a shooting star. Cam and his caretaker/nurse were laying on one of the flatter rocks on the north side of the trail in the clearing Cam called the 'star watch place'.Cam was mentally deficient having suffered a serious brain trauma from an automobile accident ten years previous. He was basically a ten year old in the body of a nineteen-year-old. He had moments of mental clarity, especially when he talked about something he liked or studied, like astronomy. Ady, Adora Brenton, was his twenty-year-old nurse and took care of Cam. For about a year ago, they had built a close friendship. He listened to her and followed her every command out of trust. "Hey! It's late. We should get back," Adora said and she rose to her feet. Cam didn't argue. When Adora said anything, Cam listened and followed. "Okay." Cam stood and grabbed his knapsack handing Adora hers. They flicked on their flashlights and started back home. About halfway to the house, there was a loud commotion and a yell in the brush south of the trail. "I heard someone cry out as if injured," Adora said, pulling Cam with her. "Let's go see."As they approached the bushes the commotion suddenly stopped. And everything went quiet."Hello? Is anyone there? Do you need help?" Adora raised her voice. "I am a nurse. I have a first aid kit with me. Hello?" It was quiet for many seconds. Adora thought she heard muffled sobbing."All right. I can hear you. I will help you but you need to reveal yourself. Or you can guide me to your location."Having lived in the vicinity of the Quantum Research Institute, not much really surprised Adora. When a beautiful, young woman of about twenty years, suddenly materialized five feet from her, in an odd outfit showing many tears and some with profuse bleeding, she paid no mind to that and went into 'Nurse' mode! The girl looked terrified but hopeful. She remained quiet.Adora carefully and gently took the offered hand and cleaned it quickly. The bleeding all but stopped almost immediately. The girl made what Adora considered 'happy sounds' while holding up her hand for another to see. So. There must be another person here. She told Cam there was someone else nearby and not to panic. He was probably shielded from sight like the girl was.In the meantime the girl removed her vacsuit entirely, exposing her body and showing dozens of additional punctures and scratches. She looked to be fully human. All the normal parts were there. Two breasts and just a hint of pubic hair in that area showed through a thin camisole and rather attractive underpants. But there was one slight but obvious discrepancy. She had two navels, one above the other!During Adora's treatment activities, she noted the flight suit had patches with odd symbols and no words. That, combined with the girl's extra naval and double heartbeat, suggested the girl was not from earth.Cam is a disabled young man who overcomes his limitations with the help of some extraterrestrial friends, the Nunseti! Read how he saves the Earth and his Nunseti fiends in battles with ships from another but a very aggressive race of beings from the galactic core bent on destroying life on Earth and taking its resources.
