¿Qué es ambiente?, ¿se lo puede/quiere conceptualizar?, ¿qué se entiende por problema?, ¿qué es el acto tecnológico "verde"?, son algunos de los fragmentos que esparce el estallido. Nunca fuimos ambientalistas establece una tesis propia por la cual el libro adquiere una identidad en estado continuo de inminencia, de víspera permanente. No plantea una alternativa a una tecnología distópica. Desarma al acto tecnológico y, dejándolo sin su sustentabilidad "ambiental", arroja sus infinitas piezas a un espacio de posibles, sin clausuras y, por lo tanto, sin salidas, a tal punto que estar en desacuerdo con aquella tesis, es participar en la misma.
Nunca fuimos ambientalistas invita al lector, técnico o no, a comprometerse en la construcción de su propia experiencia tecnológica, de su singular concepto de ambiente, sin manual de instrucciones pero, para hacerlo, debe continuar escribiendo en su lectura el libro que aquí comienza.

Carlos F. Greco. Nació en Bs. As (1960) es Ingeniero Agrónomo y Dr. en Cs. Naturales de la UBA. Fue investigador en el USDAARS, en un proyecto de agricultura sustentable y profesor en distintas universidades en Canadá, EE.UU, UBA y la Universidad de San Andrés. Ha dirigido tesistas de doctorado y escrito numerosos trabajos científicos.
Diana C. Crespo. Nació en Bs. As (1956), es Ingeniera Agrónoma, investigador del INTA y Profesional Principal de CPA-CONICET. Ha dirigido proyectos nacionales e internacionales en Control Biológico de Plagas y, actualmente, está dedicada a proyectos de I+D en Gestión Ambiental en sistemas productivos. Ha dictado conferencias dentro y fuera del país, publicado trabajos de investigación y divulgación, dirigido tesistas y ha recibido premios por su aporte al sector agropecuario.
