In dieser Arbeit wurden numerische Grundlagenuntersuchungen hinsichtlich des Wanderverhaltens von Wälzlagern durchgeführt. Der Begriff Wandern bezeichnet raupenartige Walkbewegungen der Lagerringe, welche zu einem kontinuierlichen Verdrehen der Lagerringe gegenüber der Anschlussgeometrie führen. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist die Erarbeitung einer neuen Herangehens- und Betrachtungsweise zur Gestaltung und Auslegung von Lagersitzen in praxisnaher Form. Letztlich sollen dem Konstrukteur anwendungsbereite Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten und Werkzeuge zur Verfügung stehen, die eine zielgerichtete Bewertung und Ausführung von Lagerring-Sitzen im Hinblick auf Schlupf- und Wandereffekte ermöglichen und auf diese Weise teure Folgeschäden verhindern helfen. Mittels diverser Finite-Elemente-Analysen wurden anhand von komplexen 3D-Kinematiksimulationen erstmals die kinematischen Wandervorgänge in Lagersitzen unter realen Randbedingungen nachgebildet. Im Mittelpunkt der Untersuchungen standen die Einflussparameter, welche Wandern verursachen und begünstigen sowie geometrische und konstruktive Abhilfemaßnahmen zur Verringerung bzw. Eliminierung der Wandereffekte. Basierend auf den gewonnenen Erkenntnissen kann der Einsatz breiter, vollrolliger Wälzlager zur Reduzierung der Wanderneigung empfohlen werden. Ebenso ist die Vergrößerung der Pressung im Lagersitz eine wirksame Maßnahme zur Vermeidung von Wandern. Weiterhin liefert die Arbeit dem Anwender anhand ausführlicher Parameteranalysen konkrete Hinweise zur Optimierung seiner Lagerkonstruktion bezüglich der Lagerwahl. Die Untersuchungen zeigen, dass das Kegelrollenlager und das Schrägkugellager die Bauformen mit der höchsten Wandergrenze darstellen. Das Zylinderrollenlager sowie das Tonnenlager weisen niedrigere Grenzbelastungen auf und sind daher anfälliger gegen Wandern. Am ungünstigsten sind Rillenkugellager. Zur Ermittlung wanderkritischer Betriebszustände sowie der auftretenden Wanderkräfte bei Überschreitungen der Wandergrenze wurden
About the Author: Ab 2008 erforschte der Autor Andreas Maiwald das so genannte Wälzlagerwandern im Rahmen seiner Promotion an der Professur Konstruktionslehre der TU Chemnitz. Für seine Untersuchungen nutzte er die etablierte Simulationsmethodik der Finiten Elemente (FE), für welche der studierte Kraftfahrzeug- und Maschinenbauingenieur auch die Leitung am Lehrstuhl trug. Maiwald war im Verlauf seiner Forschungstätigkeiten maßgeblich an der Erstellung und Verbreitung des FE-basierten Programms SimWag zur Berechnung des Wälzlagerwanderns beteiligt. Mit diesem innovativen Tool können Anwender erstmals auch ohne Simulationskenntnisse Wälzlagerwandern bewerten und vermeiden. Die Forschungsergebnisse, welche in diversen internationalen Veröffentlichungen und Vorträgen mündeten, wurden von der Wissenschaftlichen Gesellschaft für Produktentwicklung (WiGeP) sowie der Sachsenmetall mit Preisen ausgezeichnet.
