Una vez más, Paulo Padrós Garzón nos sorprende con su amplia variedad temática, su fina sensibilidad, por momentos irónica, y su gran compromiso social, cuando no político. Y es que en realidad todo artista asume un compromiso político al realizar su obra; ¿por qué plasmamos esta idea y no otra?; ¿cuál es nuestra postura ante un suceso que conmociona a la sociedad?; ¿vamos a ser meros espectadores de una injusticia, nos vamos a quedar callados ante el recorte de, por ejemplo, los derechos humanos o ante la depredación de la naturaleza? Pues todo esto no parece ser una opción para Padrós Garzón. Su prolífica literatura podría acusarse de desprolija, desfachatada, apasionada, pero nunca de indiferente o superficial, ya que detrás de cada línea de "Nosotros, los intermitentes" hay un claro mensaje de compromiso y redención.El libro comienza con una tríada de poemas simples pero de una gran sensibilidad amatoria, como podemos ver en "Mariposas": Mariposas.Tengo mariposas en el pecho, mariposas que revolotean en mi estómagoy me resoplan por la nariz.Tengo mariposas en los ojos, en las manos, en las venas, en la sangre, circulando entre mis arterias como pequeños caballos alados, caballitos sin jinete que galopan atolondrados y vuelan...En "Siempre he querido", se puede encontrar la búsqueda del autor dentro de una vanguardia literaria que no deja de ser simple y emotiva, escuetamente conmovedora: Siempre he querido tomarte de las manosy caminar, caminar, caminar.Siempre he querido que te subas a mis hombrosy llevarte, llevarte, llevarte.Por eso aprendí a respirar por vosy a mirar por tus ojos lo que vos no ves.---------------Siempre he querido verte desnuday amarte, amarte, amarte.En trabajos como "Las cosas por su nombre", claramente se denuncia que, dentro de los resabios de amores realizados o frustrados, y aún dentro de las cosas más simples y cotidianas, también se puede asumir una postura bien definida: ... le vamos a llamar soberbia a la discriminación, o quien te crees tú para juzgar al que consideras distinto.A la pobreza le llamaremos injusticiaporque necesitamos de miles de pobrespor cada ricachón que se enriquece, y a la muerte dejala ahí nomás, en silencio y sin nombrarla, la vamos a llamar la sin nombre o la ignoraremos en silencioporque todo lo que se nombra termina apareciendo, como esa tía molesta que se asoma cada vez que pensamos en ella.En tanto en poemas como "Los niños de Siria" o "Ellos volvieron" se asume una postura política bien definida y coherente a lo largo de toda la obra del autor: A los niños de Siria los matan por las dudas, como pájaros en vuelo sus gargantas gritanpero sólo proyectiles de plomo acallan sus llantos.Un día le pregunté a la noche que me iluminaba oscuraporque ya no me galopan caballos en el pechocuando te veo con tu vestido rojo caminando entre las ruinas, pero sólo me mostró cómo rompe el mar entre las rocas, tanta furia desatada entre ángeles abatidos. Este libro está dedicado a la memoria de un amigo que partió, hacia los cielos de algún dios desconocido, y la melancolía que produce toda partida parece haberse por entero en sus versos, como un reclamo a los dioses que se burlan de nuestro destino.
