At the tender age of eight, my father abducted me from our small town in Communist Slovakia. That day, I began my life as a nomad, constantly on the move from one country and city to the next. Over time, I found comfort and a sense of adventure in the shifting nature of meeting new people and basking in the wonder of the forever-changing scenery around me.
As a young adult, I sought freedom through a stream of moves, jobs, and new relationships all over the world. And yet, I still didn't feel free. It wasn't until more than twenty years after my abduction, while soaking in the sun on the idyllic sandy beaches of Santorini, that I discovered true freedom; the kind that originates from within when you allow yourself to honor and heal on destiny's path
