Aufgrund eines Ressentiments gegen die Wirklichkeit, wegen des Hasses gegen eine Welt des Leidens, haben die Metaphysiker eine "wahre" Welt des Unbedingten geschaffen. Nietzsches Aufgabe wird es, die Welt der Metaphysik abzuschaffen, und dabei das Werden als einzige Realität wiederherzustellen. Die Vielheit ist nicht mehr von der Einheit abhängig, und das Werden auch nicht von dem Sein. Die Einheit erhält einen neuen Sinn durch das Spiel der ewigen Wiederkehr. Das Hasard wird das Objekt der Bejahung. Es wird die Eins des Mehrfachen, und das Sein des Werdens wird bejaht. In der Nietzscheschen Intuition des Werdens wird das Sein als ewige Wiederkehr hergestellt. Der Nietzschesche Gedanke, der das ganze Seiende zu dieser Welt und zu dieser Wirklichkeit reduziert, soll auch die Idee der Gottheit ersetzen. Die Doktrin der ewigen Wiederkehr ist für Nietzsche wichtig, weil nur durch sie der Tod Gottes endgültig wird und die Nichtigkeit übertroffen werden kann. Die Aussage "Gott ist tot" symbolisiert nicht nur die Wirkungslosigkeit des christlichen Gottes, sondern auch das Ende der Metaphysik, indem die traditionellen Werte der Philosohie das Dasein nicht mehr stützen können. Der Glaube an die Kategorien der Vernunft, die sich auf eine rein imaginäre Welt bezogen, ging durch Nietzsche zu Ende.
