About the Book

Any doctrine, system of belief or practice that is built entirely on the Old Testament, is built on a wrong foundation! The Old Testament is incomplete without the New, for the New Testament was given to us because we have the Old. Everything covered in the Old Testament is coherently amplified by the New and every truth in found in the New Testament had already been implied by the Old. Jesus gave credence to the Old Testament over and over and over - on the road to Emmaus after His resurrection, He taught the two disciples about the things spoken in the Old Testament about Himself; And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning Himself; Luke 24:27. When the Pharisees demanded Him to show them a sign from heaven, He said that no sign would be given to the wicked and adulterous generation who sought for a sign but the sign of the Prophet Jonah. He spoke about Abraham, declaring, "Before Abraham was I AM". He explained that Moses spoke of Him, He talked about Elijah and the widow of Zarephath, and He gave lessons about Elisha and Naaman, the Syrian General. He constantly referred to prophesies of Isaiah and He mentioned Sodom, Gomorrah, and Sodom and Gomorrah more than any other Old Testament cities whenever He warned about the fierceness of the judgment to come. The Lord Jesus talked about the killing of Abel and Zechariah, and spoke about the days of Lot and Noah, comparing their times to the end of days. He told the people and us to search the scriptures because they are the ones who testify of Him. Here is the passage: John 5:39 39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. That is a fine passage, right? Nevertheless, you will not understand the truth of this verse unless you quickly realize that by the time the Lord spoke these timeless Words, the Old Testament was the only "scriptures" available, for the New Testament had not been written, not a word of it; yet He said, "Search the scripture... yes, they testify of Me". Furthermore, He proclaimed that He came not to destroy the Law and the Prophets but to fulfill them. This is why I am writing this book - many seek to understand the Old Testament, but they pay little or no attention to the New; but no one can understand the codes in the Old Covenant unless they follow the decoding rendered so plainly in the New Testament. As you read this book, you will be fascinated at the number of times the Old Testament is quoted in the New and you will be thoroughly amazed at how the Lord used the Old Testament as His only reference for explaining everything He came to do on the planet! Enjoy perusing these timeless truths and let the Holy Spirit burn them into your soul - grace unto you and peace be multiplied!
