About the Book

We see things differently over time and with greater knowledge. The author's experience proved challenging to express, perhaps because he was so young and perhaps it was so rare that the listening of his account was not present for many years. Bruce found solace in the wisdom of a psychiatrist who understood, at least in part, his experience as a 'spiritual awakening, ' only to be 'diagnosed' and drugged by another who denied a year later. His stalwart conviction proved its worth.

The story that unfolded may seem prophetic to some, insane to others, yet the journey to understand and relate it to others continued to provide a variety of trials and tribulations. In today's world, it is a story of hope and inspiration that's sorely needed, full of insight and understanding. The transformation was profound, from being institutionalized as a teen to presenting his story at the International Association for Near-Death Studies annual conference in Denver 35 years later to a receptive audience.

Would you be willing to die in order to know truth about life and your perfected form, fit and function in the world? Is that question even a perturbation in your thoughtmosphere? You'll love the authenticity, candor and honesty of the author's journey. May it inspire a new living awareness in our time. We suggest you follow his life's unfolding journey.

About the Author: Bruce Lee Benefiel was orphaned at birth and adopted at 6 weeks old, his biological history still a mystery. His search for roots revealed the adoption records, stored by the State, were destroyed in a flood and the Department of Health only had non-identifying information in their files, which offered just place, time and ethnicity of his mother. It provides for much speculation. "It's tough for most people to relate to the depths of curiosity and discovery of one who knows no terrestrial heritage and apparently is open to worlds beyond the scope of even good script writers," he's been heard to say. He began having OBEs and extraterrestrial 'contactee' experiences, among others, long before his 10th birthday. A gifted athlete, empath and stellar student, he claims that being an 'eduholic' with an addiction to knowing truth leads one to explore the unknown repeatedly as a part of living. With two Master's degrees in Business and certifications in Life Coaching, Hypnotherapy, Secondary Education and various successes in aerospace, education and special events as accomplishments, 'Zen' (as he is known now) enjoys his work as a 'Possibilities Coagulator' helping others put people, places and things into an executable framework for achieving dreams and goals, complete with action and/or business plan. His primary business is quite aptly named... BE The Dream, LLC, coaching and consulting entrepreneurs, startup and small businesses. He also facilitates road and bridge 'partnering' pre-construction workshops for various contractors, DOTs and the Federal Highways Administration under Team Partnering, LLC. Most recently he involved with small business Peer Advisory Boards, both on- and off-line endeavors to assist small business development.
