About the Book

Loco is a street dog on beautiful, exotic and remote Easter Island. This is his first time narrating a book, so he accepts a little help from the protagonist and the antagonist. Loco is living the happy life, trotting around as he pleases, until a wholly unpleasant group of terrorists land a plane big enough to house a gazillion street dogs in total darkness. Loco was foolishly on the runway that night (it's a long story involving one terrorist, a series of adventures and some excellent empanadas) and thereby got a free flight of his own - straight into a chain link fence. Luckily, one of Loco's friends on the island, rookie cop Victor Lorca, is there to meet the terrorist and do his darnedest to stop their unconscionable plot. Of course. doing one's darnedest can take some time, and in this case it takes all day and some help from Loco to slow these bad guys down. They chase each other around the island's most scenic spots, producing a virtual tour of a genuine bucket list location. It's the adventure of a lifetime for Loco and his human friends as they reclaim their island from outsiders. #ContemplateTheNavel, #LocoOnEasterIsland, #Dogtagonist.
About the Author: The author of this novel began using the pseudonym Mary Jane when he was a freshman at Harvey Mudd College and wrote a weekly column for the student paper, The Muddraker. Being a shy, reserved youth, he felt he would be more forthright using a pseudonym. Since 80% of the students were male, a woman's name garnered more attention. And, the name Mary Jane seemed nicely disreputable. The rest is a brief footnote in history. Kyle G. Roesler has gone on to write screenplays, stage plays, and four novels (including Fate and Saba, both in print on Amazon). He is probably the greatest living American writer no one has ever heard of. Alas, Mary Jane passed away (another victim of cancer of the pseudonym) in 2017; Kyle continues to write using his own name. Fun facts about Kyle G. Roesler: 1) When Kyle plays guitar, he uses an amp that goes to 12. His wa-wa pedal, however, goes to 13. 2) Kyle is also a sit-down comedian (why stand when you can sit?); check out a couple of his routines on YouTube. 3) Kyle has made a short film of one scene of his novel Saba, and plans to make more short films in the future. 4) Back when he was known as Mary Jane, Kyle and Kirsten Dunst got together occasionally to discuss Peter Parker. Emma Stone is not invited. 5) Mary is really a man who is 6'6" tall. He can't walk in heels. 6) When Arnold Palmer and Mary used to get together, they discussed how to discretely order items named after them (half lemonade/half iced tea and taffy candy, respectively). 7) Wait, what did you think I was talking about? 8) Kyle really appreciates any reader who reads this webpage so thoroughly they make it to this part of his bio. Thank you. He would love to get your feedback on Amazon or Facebook. Note: half of these fun facts are actually facts. I will leave it as an exercise for the reader to sort out facts from fiction.
