Every behavior expressed through a personality trait gets a response to adjust to, engage, or combat the pressure it places on others. Yes, even kindness is a pressure-a comfortable pressure-but when a loved one's life is being threatened, kindness doesn't work, but anger and rage might. So there isn't a "righteous" personality profile of traits. Every trait is a tool within the spectrum of behavior and thus has a purpose that will likely have a context in which its use is not only justified, but preferred-even the traits that seem that they are only abnormal or evil.Narcissism is such a behavior. In short, the notion of Ethnicity. The more uniform the ethnic culture, the more enmeshment it implies with the Narcissist leader.You can immediately see both the upsides and the downsides. Without such control and leadership, nomadic tribes wouldn't survive. Yet the enmeshed Offspring lived for the Narcissist, not their own Selfs. So Selfs were not developed until rebellion got strong enough to create pressure back on the Narcissist to compromise.This book is about the struggle between the Narcissist and his Enmeshed Offspring. The nature of Narcissism created Top Down Authority. The nature of rebellion from the Offspring created a grassroots movement of Bottom Up Authority which ultimately toppled Top Down control-but it took many millennia and millions and millions of sacrificial deaths. But strangely, the rebellion of the strictly controlled Offspring is what has been defined in Religions as rebellion, sin and a sinful nature. This book is a refutation of this assumption, because it is misguided in that rebellion is a reaction to pressure, not a nature. Self is a misunderstood function of consciousness, targeted by Christianity as the evil nature that needs redeeming in order to do "Good."
