Die fluorolytische Sol-Gel-Synthese führt zu einer neuen Klasse fluoridischer Nano-Materialien. Diese weisen ungewöhnliche Eigenschaften auf. High surface-Aluminiumfluorid ist beispielsweise eine der stärksten, bekannten festen Lewis-Säuren - ein "High Potential" für die heterogene Katalyse. Die Aufklärung lokaler Strukturen ist für das Verständnis der außergewöhnlichen Eigenschaften essentiell und daher Gegenstand einer Vielzahl aktueller Arbeiten. In diesem Buch werden neben Untersuchungen, die zu einem besseren Verständnis mechanistischer Aspekte der "Sol-Gel Chemie mit Fluor" beitragen, Ergebnisse vorgestellt, die eine genaue Ableitung von verlässlichen Strukturmodellen katalytisch aktiver Fluoride und deren Vorstufen gestatten. Hervorzuheben sind unter anderem: (a) Die Ableitung von bisher nicht beschriebenen Trendanalysen. Diese korrelieren die beobachtbaren chemischen Verschiebungen mit dem Fluorierungsgrad. Es können somit erstmals mittlere Koordinationen und die Al: F Zusammensetzungen verwandter Verbindungen einfach über die NMR bestimmt werden. (b) Die Entwicklung des Betriebs einer MAS-Pneumatik-Einheit mittels Stickstoff-Generator und die Neu-Entwicklung von Insertsystemen für MAS NMR-Rotoren. So sind nicht nur MAS NMR-Experimente mit viskosen Gelen möglich, es können auch Tieftemperaturexperimente bei Temperaturen kleiner 150 K durchgeführt werden. Mit den Methoden der Festkörper MAS NMR werden zusätzlich eine Reihe bekannter und neuer kristalliner Referenzsysteme untersucht, Veränderungen lokaler Strukturen während der Fluorolyse verfolgt und strukturelle Einheiten katalytisch aktiver, nanoskopischer Aluminiumfluoride und deren Vorläufer identifiziert.
About the Author: Rene Konig wurde am 23.07.1978 in Zeitz, Sachsen-Anhalt, geboren. Nach dem Abitur und einer Ausbildung zum Chemikanten bei der BASF SE, Ludwigshafen, studierte er Chemie an der Humboldt-Universitat zu Berlin. Im Juli 2006 schloss Rene Konig das Chemie-Studium mit einer Diplomarbeit im Bereich Festkorperchemie an der Humboldt-Universitat zu Berlin ab (PD Dr. G. Scholz, Prof. Dr. E. Kemnitz). Thema der Arbeit waren "Magnetresonanzuntersuchungen zur Ausbildung lokaler Strukturen bei der Sol-Gel-Synthese von Aluminiumalkoxidfluorid." Anschlieend promovierte er im gleichen Gebiet, die Promotion wurde im August 2009 erfolgreich abgeschlossen. Weiterhin erschienen bisher 8 Veroffentlichungen in angesehenen Fachzeitschriften. Zur Zeit lebt Rene Konig mit Frau und Kind in Berlin.
