Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2003 im Fachbereich Germanistik - Neuere Deutsche Literatur, Note: (nicht beantragt), Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Universität Hannover (Institut für deutsche Literaturwissenschaft), Veranstaltung: Interkulturelle Kafka-Lektüren, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Bereits in Frühzeiten der Kafka-Forschung schrieb Walter Benjamin an Gershon Scholem: "Dem würde der Schlüssel zu Kafka in die Hände fallen, der der jüdischen Theologie ihre komischen Seiten abgewönne." Gemeint ist letztlich wohl folgendes: Es ist nicht zu übersehen, wie kaballistische, aber auch chassidische Gedankengänge Kafkas literarische Produktion beeinflussten. Am deutlichsten wird dieser Einfluss, der natürlich nur eine der Kraftquellen der Kafkaschen Produktion ist, in jenem Roman, der explizit ein der himmlischen Gerichtsbarkeit nachempfundenes Verfahren darstellt: der Prozess. Die Parallelen zwischen jüdischer Mystik und dem Roman sind zum Teil sehr viel tiefgehender und deutlicher, als es im Rahmen dieser Arbeit darstellbar sein wird. Doch nicht an jenen reinen Lehren der religiösen Bücher orientierte sich Kafka hier, vielmehr schöpfte er reich aus einer Vielzahl von Sagen und Legenden sowie Überlieferungen, die mittlerweile Teil der Volksbildung waren - das ist jedenfalls die in dieser Arbeit nicht ohne Grund vertretene These. Allerdings übernimmt er diese Themen nicht einfach. Er schafft durch seine scheiternden Helden und gebrochene Sichtweisen einen parallelen Entwurf, der gerade die Halt- und Ziellosigkeit des assimilierten Juden ausdrückt, der über eben dieses Material nicht mehr verfügt und den Forderungen des Gesetzes deshalb nicht genügen kann, da er seine Schuld schon aus Unkenntnis leugnet. Damit soll keineswegs gesagt werden, das Kafka ausschließlich kaballistisch oder chassidisch schrieb (was eine reichlich unsinnige Folgerung wäre). Gerade bei Abwägung von Gerichtsthemen bei Kafka kommt man jedoch m.E. nicht an jenen religiösen Deutungsmustern vorbei.
