"Quienes hayan leído la obra de Tomas Tranströmer recordaran un poema en que los versos brotan, se expanden, mientras el autor decrece, hasta que la criatura lo desplaza: "Fantástico sentir como crece mi poema / mientras yo me encojo. / Crece, toma mi lugar. / Me desplaza. / Me arroja fuera del nido. / El poema está listo." El poema como madre que crece gracias a leyes misteriosas, manando del poeta hasta reemplazarlo, reclamando su lugar en el mundo, la potestad de su belleza que no pertenece a nadie, pues se dona a través del transcriptor de ocasión para arrullar desde su nido a quien acuda allí. Sea quien sea el lector. En los poemas de Luis Cruz-Villalobos se elabora un diálogo llano y traslúcido con la obra del gran poeta sueco, también psicólogo. El poeta chileno tiende un muelle que atraviesa las fluctuaciones del espacio-tiempo, se cae andando en bicicleta y su poema "sonríe con un poco de barro en la mejilla." El poema también es una criatura, su ciudadanía es la situación o la memoria que lo provoca, y su huella dactilar la música que elabora una casa transparente en nuestra ladera. Son reescrituras del boceto que somos; bocetos ellos también, capaces de resguardar la turgencia de su origen, esa que nos rehúye día a día. Los poemas renacen ante cada lectura, y aquí lo hacen los gorriones, las nubes, las lágrimas de una abuela, la sombra de un boldo y también la tristeza de estos versos: "Por qué elevar canciones / Como quien encumbra volantines negros / Y los deja ir al viento / Para luego verlos caer con la lluvia." Interrogante a la que no podemos responder con una sentencia, con una dosis de certeza suficiente. Acaso sea volver una y otra vez sobre las preguntas y recuerdos que nos conmueven, transfigurar la melancolía cotidiana en una creación que hermana la belleza y la tristeza, el dolor y la alegría de respirar mientras llueve o se comparte una tarde. Y la música, la música que nos acompaña es un puente entre ambas obras, los vasos comunicantes de Bach y el jazz esparcen su fragancia sobre estos ejercicios poéticos. La humildad de congregarnos como notas en una partitura cuya creación nos excede y abraza desde el misterio: "Todo dialoga de alguna manera / Para conformar la realidad / Para escribir esta partitura / De la que somos parte." Tampoco podían faltar los haikus, forma que Tranströmer refrescó con sus experimentos expresivos, sea desde una cárcel juvenil o frente a la amplitud de los paisajes nórdicos. Un ejemplo de esos trazos microscópicos: "El estrépito de los talleres / y los pesados pasos de la torre de vigilancia / desconciertan al bosque." Cruz-Villalobos urde una secuencia que podría leerse como un poema largo, una escalera en que cada haiku es un peldaño, un rasguño de luz sobre el lienzo de la roca. He aquí su modo de tatuar un momento en la materia verbal: "La tormenta / tenía rabia como el potro / que saltó la cerca." Es una obra breve, un satélite que orbita el legado del luminoso poeta sueco, sin exigir primera plana, concebida con concisión y claridad. Casi llega al extremo con que el Borges temprano reescribía la obra de Macedonio Fernández, ese devoto plagio, que procura rendir honores al precursor que hayamos por afinidad o una necesidad expresiva que posee sus propias razones. Acaso sea el río de la tradición poética prolongándose en arroyos tributarios, urdiendo un linaje que, en ciertos casos, aspira a la transparencia, a la gratitud de solazarse en una orilla.
