I have found that the greater evil, that these wars carry, is when it turns into a war between the past and the future, between religion and science. Such as, religion wanting to preserve its roots in the past and science opening to the future and to the development of consciousness through psychology and aesthetics. However, religions are irreplaceable, even if they are against evolution and openness to one another and to science. It is a malicious intellectual evil, which spreads in the air, and infiltrates the weak minded to dominate them. Nevertheless, in time, this evil quickly becomes a spiritual evil and thus a social evil that is difficult to deal with, especially as religion responds to the demands of the heart. From this, its magic and science respond to the demands of the mind and hence its invincible power. Here I found myself a golden opportunity to dive into the unknown of these two forces, perhaps I can clarify the picture and have a broader understanding of their closeness.In order to reach my goal, I returned home to Lebanon. I started teaching at universities, in the departments of architecture and interior. I taught the students about the origins of civil organization and the revival of heritage in general, and on ways of preserving and restoring it, then reviving it in order to continue its cultural journey in the society. Moreover, Lebanon, the cradle of human civilization, is distinguished for its long history as a link between the East and the West, and its remnants in Baalbek, Tyre, Sidon, Beirut, Byblos, Tripoli and the rest of the region are a witness to the historical eras Lebanon has passed through. Lebanon, known for its mountainous nature, was and still is a haven for the people of the region, an escape from the injustice and arbitrariness of its rulers. So, eighteen sects from different religions, ideologies and creeds resorted to it and lived in its lands. Due to political tensions in neighbouring countries, Lebanon underwent bloody civil wars that claimed hundreds of thousands of lives.To launch my new project, I had to call for the establishment of a cultural centre to study the current status of religious and doctrinal beliefs, their relevance to the reality of free thought, and the development of philosophy and aesthetics. To achieve this dream, I had to move through time, to the second half of the nineteenth century, to Europe, where I reincarnated the personality of Eliphas Levi (1810-1875), who met with men of thought and religion, and who had bold and silent dialogues with, where I narrated some of them and managed to comment on them in Italic.
