About the Author: This book is a result of the collaboration of two authors from very different backgrounds. It is the first novel going under the pen name of J Victor Knight, but he has written and published six other fiction books. Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, he's spent much of his life in Texas. Now in his mid-seventies, he lives with his wife, and calico cat, Peanut, in a rural town of southeast Texas. He's grateful to be away from the big city humdrum of Houston, where he and his wife retired from not too long ago. He now has the time to write, go fishing, and kick back. He has two sons and a daughter, three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren (all boys). "I really enjoyed the outcome of our joint venture," he states. "P.L. is an incredible writer with a vivid imagination. She also brought the woman's touch to the story." P.L. Martin grew up in Northern California. Now in her early-forties, she lives in Southern Louisiana with her husband and three children. She enjoys writing fantasies and thrillers, but likes to push herself to write different genres. Belonging to a popular writing site, FanStory.com, one that's been around since the year 2000, he read P L Martin's posted works and thoroughly enjoyed them, as she did reading his works. He decided, one day, to ask her if she would be interested in working on the book. After reading the manuscript, she agreed that changes were necessary. The rest is history. The rewrite of the book in less than four months is quite an accomplishment. It's also remarkable in that, other than email, and one phone conversation, the authors have never met.
