When I started my 2nd business I found myself jumping from one day planner to another, never quite finding the right system. I've actually used them all and was a big fan of Franklin Covey System, but after years of using it I felt like it was missing something. Later, I was introduced to journaling and various gratitude and productivity strategies and as I matured I wanted ONE book which incorporates the various areas of my business and personal life; to not only grow me professionally but also grow me spiritually and physically.
Since there were no day planners which satisfied my evolved self I decided to create a personal daily journal, "My Top 5 Daily Priorities - Doing What Matters Most", a 6-month daily planner which enables you to evaluate your performance bi-yearly and make any adjustments to ensure you achieve your 1 year goals.
I was most inspired by the simple productivity advice which Ivy Ledbetter Lee (July 16, 1877 - November 9, 1934) gave Bethlehem Steel Corporation President, Charles M. Schwab, which earned him a nice sum of money later.
Lee is reputed to advise Bethlehem Steel Corporation President to list and number his top priorities every day and work on tasks in the order of their importance, not proceeding until a task was completed.
For Lee's suggestion, company head, Charles M. Schwab later paid Lee $25,000, today that's worth $609,000. Schwab said that it had been the most profitable advice he had received in his career. If Lee's advice increased productivity immensely for Charles M. Schwab, surely it will do wonders for you!!
"My Top 5 Daily Priorities - Doing What Matters Most" is dedicated to those seeking a new way of organizing their day for optimal productivity and perhaps one day you will send me $609,000 LOLz!!
I sincerely hope you develop a productive and meaningful lifestyle which will bring you the freedom you desire in your life.
