The secret to leading a successful and happy life is a subject of endless debate. As Paul reflects on his own lifetime of struggles and accomplishments, he attributes his success to remaining independent, unwaveringly positive in nature, and true to both God and his Polish and Hungarian roots. Throughout his early childhood and 12 years of parochial grade and high school, he learned the value of following Gods Golden Rule: So in everything, do to others as you would have them do to you (Matthew 7:12 NIV).
We all ride the currents of rivers of no return. Happiness is obtained not when we reach that ocean our river empties into; true happiness is obtained during that long journey down the river. By example of Pauls life story, My Luck of the Draw urges readers to never cheat, lie, nor give up, and to appreciate the gift of each and every day.
