Sandy Hubacka Treft has spent a lifetime getting out of the trenches. From a childhood with an alcoholic father to an adulthood of supporting her child single-handedly, one thing has carried her through - her faith.
Treft grew up as a first-generation American with most of her family living in Croatia. After her parents divorced, she became a wild force of a teenager, making shocking choices and leaving home at sixteen to be on her own. At eighteen, Treft married a man who physically abused her for ten years.
Treft kept her hope and high spirits alive through her divorce just before stumbling into the next slew of life-altering events. She aimed to keep her life together by learning court reporting and making a substantial career for herself. Then came a variety of turbulent boyfriends, a near-death ATV accident and the loss of her father.
Through it all, Treft continued to search for the deeper meaning in her pain and troubles. Her story is one of true enlightenment, inspiring you to keep going for your dreams, to overcome the tough times and to have the strength to leave the situations that don't serve your happiness.
