About the Book

The Great American Cowboy, in the grandest of traditions, is never a quitter. No matter how many times he gets thrown, he just dusts himself off, and gets back on again. So what happens when an old, traditional, rodeo cowboy takes on the 21st Century Cyber-gods of Internet Dating? Take a deep seat, and get screwed down tight, for a wild ride aboard, "My Internet Dating Nightmare - a Cowboy's Wildest Ride!" If it wasn't so painful, it would be funny!
About the Author: David G. Brown David G. Brown is a man who wears many hats, but prefers the simple felt of his Resistol cowboy hat. He has gained national fame as a writer and author, he has appeared in many movies and television shows as an actor, and performed all across the country riding bucking horses at professional rodeos. And all these things he did in addition to working full time for the FAA as an air traffic control specialist, now retired. Brown spent more than 20 years as an air traffic controller, retiring from the North Las Vegas airport. He also has worked at the Reno/Tahoe International Airport, McCarran International in Las Vegas and at the Seattle Enroute Center. Brown also was a founding member of the National Air Traffic Controllers Association and previously was chairman of the legislative committee and a regional vice-president. Brown's acting career began with a stint as a cavalry trooper on the ABC television show "Young Riders," which quickly led to appearances in more than a dozen movies and television shows and commercials. This also earned him his qualification for membership in the Screen Actor's Guild. As a writer, Brown was thrust into the national spotlight when his first book, Gold Buckle Dreams - the Rodeo Life of Chris LeDoux was released in 1987 and quickly became a regional #1 Bestseller. The biography was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize, and has become the best-selling rodeo book in history. He co-authored another book, You Don't Have to be Dumb to be Stupid, which he co-wrote with Blue-Collar-comedian Bill Engvall. In addition to authoring books, Brown has been published in dozens of national magazines, from Air Line Pilot and U.S.News & World Report to Western Horseman and American Cowboy Magazine. He also is an accomplished photographer. Brown is also the CEO of Remington Entertainment, Inc., which produces theatrical films for the big-screen and for television. Brown was a member of the PRCA from 1984 to 1998, and in 1995 he finished among the top15 in the Turquoise Circuit to earn a berth at the Turquoise Circuit Finals Rodeo in the bareback bronc riding event. In 1998 Brown suffered a near-fatal accident at a rodeo in Cut Bank, Montana, forcing him to retire from the sport. He also has cattle and horses on a ranch in Oregon. Agent, author, actor, air traffic controller, writer, photographer; all of these could accurately describe David Brown. But no title fits him so well as "cowboy."
