About the Book

Fascinated by the ever changing array of emotions we all experience, this book elaborates our blessed days to our darkest hours and is segregated into chapters of Family, Blessings, Depressions and more.Delivered to you a neat little package to be flicked through, book marked, kept beside the table lamp or read in full daylight. However you choose to read, there is surely a poem within to suit you. An introverted, self taught poet at heart, the author's work comes in waves of inspiration and is cleverly put to paper with her talent to rhyme. The Musings of a Lonely Pride contains a collection of poetry so intimate to our feelings that they have been kept hidden until recently. Beautifully illustrated with much of the photography taken in the South of England. The reader will find each page pleasing to the eye. With the authors ability to keep poetry raw to ones emotions, this book is sure to leave a gentle note upon your heart and a touch upon your soul.
About the Author: Writing poetry since the age of 12. Claire has had her work published in various competitions over the years and regularly updates her work on Facebook to reach out to others. (https: //www.facebook.com/lonelypridepoetry/) An introverted and natural poet at heart, Claire has had no official training, took no courses in creative writing or similar. All of Claire's work comes as a muse's whisper into her ear. Originally writing for herself as a way of dealing with her emotions, Claire is now coming to an age where she would like to get her words out there into the world for all to enjoy and share. A devoted Mother to three. Claire has grown and remained her whole life in the South of England. Claire leads a quiet and humble existence and takes pleasure in the simple, natural things in life. Shy by nature yet a rebel at heart, Claire grew up neglecting her parents advice and rather naive to the world. Claire has always been a very emotional and gifted soul, yet confused by life, Claire would later turn to self harming and writing. Unfortunately for Claire, after her decision to leave home at a young age, she would later become a victim of domestic abuse which she suffered until the arrival of her third child. Fleeing with only herself and her very young children, Claire faced the world alone and withdrew further into her bubble. Fighting a constant battle of depression and anxiety, Claire went on to complete a Higher Education Diploma and later enrolled into a History Degree at the University of Sussex. Still believing in fairy tales and foolishly rushing into another toxic relationship would lead to her ultimate heartbreak. Still alone with her children, Claire had to teach herself step by step to enjoy food and life again. Regaining her health, Claire is now more cynical and sceptical to the world than previously. Claire has had to walk a long path to realise that one's happiness and health (both mental and physical) are most valuable in life. Today Claire spends her time with her children, her poetry, her studies and being outside. Passion, empathy and apathy are beautifully and painstakingly witnessed in her words.
