Inhaltsangabe: Einleitung: „Es genügt nicht, um Musik recht zu verstehen, sie wiederzugeben. Man muß erfinden und eins muß mit dem anderen gelernt werden." Jean-Jacques Rousseau. In der Primarstufe spielt die elementare Musikerziehung eine wichtige Rolle im Hinblick auf (Selbst-)Wahrnehmung und Motorik, aber auch im Hinblick auf die Persönlichkeitsentwicklung des Kindes, die wiederum verbunden ist mit Erziehung zu einem angemessenen sozialen Verhalten und zu Empathiefähigkeit. Ein Teil der elementaren Musikerziehung ist der Bereich des Musikerfindens im Sinne musikbezogener Umgangsweisen, der den Anspruch erhebt, die schöpferischen Kräfte des jungen Individuums vor einer ‚Verschüttung' zu bewahren und zu fördern im Sinne einer kreativen Erziehung. Diese kreative Erziehung wird in den Unterrichtsvorschlägen für das Fach Musik oft unter dem Stichwort der ‚Improvisation' angestrebt und verwirklicht: Hier betätigen sich die Kinder kreativ, d.h. schöpferisch dahingehend, dass sie etwas für sich Neues erfinden, schaffen, ‚kreieren'. Bei einer näheren Untersuchung dieser Aussage, lässt sich eine Problematik dahingehend erkennen, dass in der Literatur der Begriff der Kreativität eher zu einem Modewort avanciert ist und daher recht oberflächlich benutzt wird. Ähnliches gilt für den Improvisations-Begriff. Die Diskussionen um Kreativität und Improvisation sind extrem kontrovers. Eine fast unüberschaubare Flut von Veröffentlichungen scheint diese Begriffe immer mehr zu verwässern, obwohl sie das Gegenteil versucht, sie nämlich fassbarer zu machen. Im ersten Teil der Arbeit werden diese Stichwörter der Kreativität und der Improvisation - unter Berücksichtigung der aktuellen Diskussion - als wesentlicher Bestandteil der theoretischen Voraussetzungen zum Musikerfinden beleuchtet. Im Zentrum der Überlegungen steht dabei der sogenannte „kreative Prozess" (Poincaré). Theorien und Strukturschemata werden diskutiert, um diesen vielschichtigen Vorgang verständlicher erscheinen zu
