Masterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Sonstiges, Note: 1,0, Universität Osnabrück, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Auf der UNESCO-Weltkonferenz 2010 in Seoul war die Forderung nach einer fundamentalen und nachhaltigen Berücksichtigung von Kultur in der Erziehung und Bildung ein Schwerpunkt der Erörterungen. Gefordert wurde insbesondere die 'Erreichbarkeit von Kultur für jedermann' sowie eine Bereitstellung einer hohen Qualität in Konzepten und Praxis, die Lösungen für gegenwärtige und zukünftige, soziale und kulturelle Herausforderungen anbieten können. Dass der kulturellen Bildung bereits seit vielen Jahren im internationalen Bereich und in wissenschaftlichen Konferenzen von Komitees, wie etwa im Internationalen Museumsrat (ICOM), ein hoher Stellenwert zugesprochen wird, versteht sich als Reaktion auf den schnellen und tief greifenden Wandel in vielen gesellschaftlichen Bereichen der westlichen Welt. Im heutigen Zeitalter der Technisierung und der damit einhergehenden beschleunigten Lebensverhältnisse unterliegen auch die kindlichen Lebenswelten immer schnelleren und vielfältigeren Modernisierungsprozessen. So wachsen Kinder einerseits in einer Informationsgesellschaft auf, in der man heute davon ausgeht, dass sich ihre Disziplinen auf technischen, naturwissenschaftlichen oder ökonomischen Bereichen alle drei Jahre erneuern. Diese Innovationsgeschwindigkeit hat zur Folge, dass Lernprozesse für soziale und personale Kompetenzen als permanente und lebensbegleitende Weiterbildungsprozesse verstanden werden müssen. Andererseits wachsen Kinder in einer medialisierten Gesellschaft auf, in der Informationen nicht mehr aus erster Hand übermittelt werden, sondern vielmehr Medien wie Fernsehen, Computer oder Handys der Informations- und Erkenntnisbeschaffung dienen.
