Twenty-five-year-old Nicole Barrett never thought she'd fall in love. Worn down by the horrible men from her past, she preferred to live life as a loner and keep to herself. But when she met Jason, everything changed.
Jason was sweet, caring, and romantic. He was everything she never knew she was looking for-enough to turn her from jaded singleton to blushing bride. Then, tragically, one month after her wedding day, the newlywed was shot and killed on a Manhattan street.
Now, private investigator Amy Bell is on the case, and it's not long before she uncovers Nicole's biggest secret-an illicit double life known only to her best and only friend. Using this new information to her advantage, Amy is able to extract details from her suspects in a rather...unconventional manner.
Set after the events of The Teacher's Pet Murders, Murder Spoils the Perfect Romance is the second of the Amy Bell mystery novels. As she continues to experience personal and professional growth, Amy finds herself investigating some unusual and "mature" aspects of romantic relationships-immersing herself in an unfamiliar world to get to the bottom of yet another perplexing murder mystery.
