About the Book

Muhammad's childhood was filled with spirituality and blessings. He was kind to other children and always treated animals most gently. When he used to take the family's sheep to graze, he would always be kind to them. While they grazed, he would sit thinking about the mysteries of nature. Unlike those around him, he never worshipped the idols and never swore by them. He also wondered why people were always struggling for power and money, and this saddened him and made him feel lonely, but he kept his feelings to himself. He was a quiet, thoughtful boy, and rarely played with other boys of his age.
The people of Mecca would say of him. "If you have to travel and need someone to look after your wife, entrust her to Muhammad without hesitation, for he will not even glance at her face. If you want to entrust your wealth for safeguarding, entrust it to this trustworthy, honest man, for he will never touch it. If you look for someone who never tells a lie and never breaks his word, go directly to Muhammad, because whatever he says is true."
Upon becoming a Prophet of God, Muhammad began to spread the message of peace, love and tolerance. He introduced the greeting of peace in Islam. He wanted two people who meet each other to supplicate for the other pristine safety from evil, and mercy, and blessing that brings about every good. Muhammad encouraged believers to give charity and greet one another with cheerful faces and appropriate words of greetings which could result in unity and love, and remove feelings of estrangement and disassociation.
The pagans of Mecca constantly belittled Muhammad and tried to assassinate him for inviting them to worship only one God. However, Muhammad did not allow their hatred to affect him. He constantly forgave them because he was sent as a mercy to the universe.

Unto the golden mountains where fair twilights descend,
To the hills of Yathrib where the Prophet tread,
Every mortal learnt of this Messenger from Arabia
The pride of human-kind born in the pristine desert,
The Braveheart who suffered agony in silence,
Who returned violence with only forgiveness,
Whose steps graced the poverty-stricken isles,
Who in his teachings and morals, falsehood defied.
The continents shall echo with our Prophet's name,
The hero, the martyr, the friend and protector!
We seek a fair share of his companionship and love,
For ransoming our lost race from wild falsehoods-
The mountains may crumble and one day decay,
But the illustrious Prophet's glory will forever stay,
And generations after generation will pass away,
And the last Prophet of God will grace our way.
The exalted Patriot of both the worlds,
We sing praises from beyond his tomb,
Oh, how lucky is the sun that shines soft rays on the Dome,
Beneath which rests the loftiest chief of man and angels,
Whose deathless radiance shines in every believer's home,
Whose love pervades even the fiercest horror and gloom.

Muhammad, the defender of the weak.

Muhammad, the hope of humankind.

Muhammad, the guardian of the orphan.

Muhammad, the champion of the oppressed.

Muhammad, the boon to humanity, and the mercy to the universe.
Muhammad, a heroic example of love and tolerance.
