Vor allem im alltäglichen Schulunterricht spielt die Motivation der Schülerinnen und Schüler sowie die Motivationsförderung von Seiten der Lehrkraft eine bedeutende Rolle im Sinne "guten" Unterrichts, welcher zum Lernen anregen und selbiges erleichtern soll. Doch trotz wissenschaftlicher Erkenntnisse stehen nicht nur viele Lehramtsstudierende, sondern auch erfahrene Lehrkräfte regelmäßig vor der Herausforderung, motivierenden Unterricht zu konzipieren und durchzuführen. Diese Hausarbeit beschäftigt sich speziell mit der Frage "Wie gestalte ich Unterricht, damit er für die Lernenden motivierend ist?" Im Zentrum der Arbeit steht die theoriegeleitete Konzeption und Analyse einer fiktiven Unterrichtssequenz (Thema Fotografie in der Ausbildung zur/zum MediengestalterIn Digital und Print), welche die Motivation der Lernenden in den Mittelpunkt der Überlegungen rückt. Zuerst erfolgt eine Erörterung des Begriffs "Motivation" sowie eine Darstellung unterschiedlicher Formen von Motivation, um eine fachlich und begrifflich fundierte Grundlage für weitere Diskussionen zu bilden. Anschließend werden theoretische Ansätze zur Gestaltung motivierenden Unterrichts vorgestellt. Dies geschieht unter Berücksichtigung des Rahmenlehrplans der Kultusministerkonferenz (KMK), welcher die Entwicklung von Handlungskompetenz in einem handlungsorientierten Unterricht fordert. Die Schwerpunkte der theoretischen Betrachtung liegen dabei auf problemorientiertem Unterricht, selbstgesteuertem und kooperativem Lernen sowie entdeckendem Lernen, da hier in besonderem Maße der Stellenwert von Motivation sowie deren Steigerung her
