About the Book

Morning of Despair is Book Two in The Tower Series, following Origins, released in 2016. Terrified by the possibility, Israel suspects joint missile tests by Iran and North Korea are a disguise for nuclear missile attacks. Intelligence reports prompt U.S. military leaders to call for a preemptive missile strike against the perpetrators, while the Secretary of Defense suggests it might simply be saber-rattling. U.S. Naval submarines prepare their nuclear missiles for a retaliatory launch after President Martin raises the American defense status to DEFCON 1: Cocked Pistol. War is imminent on the new President's 100th day in office, but as cultures clash and the apocalypse leers, Dr. Michael Benson, a brilliant theoretical physicist, proposes his radical new theory of Intelligent Selection. Could this be the key to purifying Earth's most virulent pollutant?
About the Author: Lee R. Hadley is a leader in thought and action, and no blind follower, who draws from his diversity in mixing truth, fiction, and genre types into unusually fascinating tales. Lee describes growing up on his father's Idaho farm as an animated paradise. Exploring the endless banks of the Payette River, riding horses along the Snake River, and driving fast cars on open roads were some of the formative backdrops for his young imagination. In his youthful wonderment, he never imagined the wide range of his future interests and delights. Instinctively, Lee is naturally creative, yet he was drawn to a career in sales and marketing. Outside of work, he relishes DIY projects. He redesigned and built his home, and rebuilt car engines for both driving and racing. Along with landscaping and gardening at his home, Lee processed film and printed photographs in his personal darkroom. He became a videographer, creating superb amateur videos. Lee is a modern Renaissance man, winning awards in Retold Story, music composition, engineering, and music video production. Traveling to forty-six states, China, Europe, and the countries of North America, he has seen much of the world. His diverse interests often caused him to joke about what he might do when he finally grows up. At the center of Lee's happiness is his marriage of forty-four years. He and his loving wife, Sandra, have five upstanding children and seven delightful grandchildren. His life is filled with the joy of family, teaching religion classes on Sundays, the roar of Hemi engines, and the interplay of light, matter, music, and emotion in photography and videography. Lee is known for his heart, compassion, and in seeing the good in others. Nearly fifty years after leaving the family farm, Lee began writing a novel. Today, it is a trilogy known as The Towers Series; Book One is Origins. Origins imagines an apocalyptic scenario all too timely for our current day. Book Two: Morning of Despair, and Book Three: Day of Providence carry the story forward. A fourth book, Cajun Justice, is a related side story that was released in September 2016. Lee attacks his writing with vision and passion and has clearly answered any questions regarding his vocation(s), i.e. what is he going to do when he grows up?
