About the Book
Response to Dr. Hundley's first book, Answers to Life's Toughest Questions, has been both substantial and inspiring. Now, his second book in the series, More Answers to Life's Toughest Questions, takes the next step forward in trying to answer life's toughest questions. He deals with twenty-five extremely controversial questions including same-sex marriage, spiritual gifts, women pastors, drinking alcohol, poverty, racism, Intelligent Design, capitalism, and violence in Islam. He also deals with biblical topics such as Constantine and the canon of the New Testament, Old Testament promises and Christians, mythological views of the Bible, and whether or not Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, and Roman Catholics are real Christians. Combining outstanding academic credentials, broad practical ministry experience, and a clear, captivating writing style, Dr. Hundley has produced a book that is both biblically sound and easy-to-understand by both believers and non-believers alike. ENDORSEMENTS: Grant Osborne, professor of New Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, has commented, "Raymond Hundley's second book on 'Answers to Life's Toughest Questions' is very relevant and helpful. We all have difficulties understanding and vocalizing the complicated issues we face, and we need help. There are doctrinal questions like the relevance of the Old Testament for today or the security of the believer, current issues like same-sex marriage, historical issues like how the biblical books became canon. These and more questions are answered in this book, and they are answered well. This should be in the library of every church and should be widely used as an important resource for Christians. I recommend it highly." Bruce E. Ryskamp, retired president and CEO of Zondervan Publishing, has shared, "Whether you're an agnostic, a seeker, a doubter, or a fervent Christian, you will find compelling answers to many of those tough questions you have about the Bible, Christian living, other religions, and current issues facing society today. Dr. Hundley addresses these questions in his usual engaging, direct style, basing every answer on what the Bible teaches. It will deepen your convictions and give you confidence in discussing these questions with even your most skeptical friends." Serounian Keir, pastor and former Azusa Pacific University professor of biblical studies, has observed, "Dr. Hundley has the mind of a scholar, the heart of a pastor, and a vibrant relationship with Christ. He is eminently qualified to write a well-reasoned, relevant, and readable book answering questions that cause believers to stumble in their faith. This is such a book." This book could change your life, and help you to be used by God to change the lives of others as well.
