About the Book

S.Hark Phillips is the great white hope for a new generation of readers who are searching for exciting and extreme adventure filled with quirky lovable characters and non-stop, on-the-edge-of-your-seat action. His debut novel, The Monkey Trap, is written with suchpop off the page vividness it feels like an adventure reminiscent of the Saturday morning serials from days gone by, but written with a story line dragged straight off modern headlines. Every chapter is its own gem. A literary roller coaster ride that will plunge you to the floor with laughter and then leave you hot and bothered. All along the way you will be crossing your legs and gasping for breath as you are whisked through a world that is unforgettable and truly disturbing. A true page turner that won't let you put it down until the very last page. ***** Bentley "Doc" Braxton lives the kind life that most only dream of. As an uber-successful doctor to the rich and famous. He lives a party life atop yachts, women and drugs. But excess has its price. Doc finds his life of privilege turned upside down when he is framed and sent to one of Texas' most notorious prisons. His once fairytale existence is transformed into a bloody nightmare. Doc quickly discovers that even iron bars can't protect him from the forces, inside and out, that want to kill him. Doc fights for his life against a savage pygmy, murderous Muslims, a vicious Mexican prison gang and a slew of corrupt cops so desperate that they will stop at nothing to see him dead. But Doc isn't alone. His new celly, Farmer, is a gentle giant with a hammer-like fist. Farmer can not read nor write, but Doc quickly realizes that Farmer is one of the smartest people he has ever met. An unlikely friendship arises as they fend off assassins, rapists and murderers. They quickly discover that they are going to have to stick together, if they are going to get out alive. It won't be easy, but they have a few tricks up their sleeves. The Monkey Trap is set ......now all you have to do to get out alive is give up what you love most. ******** OFFICIALLY BANNED************* Find out why the Texas Dept. of Criminal Justice has prohibited any of its prisoners from reading this book. **************************************
