About the Book

In the 21st Century, the temptation to think the Ancient of Days has become, as the name suggests, too old to understand our situation, too old to be concerned let alone be able to deal with our every day worries is very high. In 'Modern Walk with Ancient of Days', Moses reveals, following his autobiography, how God has been involved in every aspect of his life in many miraculous ways. Having lost both parents at the age of 15 just after being born again, he was left with non but God, Almighty who says he is Father to the fatherless. He proves in very simple ways, how God is concerned with every detail of our lives even those things considered not 'spiritual'. As he traces the doings of the Lord in his life, he blends his autobiography with simple but profound and practical teachings on key doctrinal issues that the church still seems to be struggling to grasp. At the end of it all, he proves that God is the same yesterday, today and forever and that with God nothing is impossible. Key issues addressed include the doctrine of salvation, Holy Spirit baptism, divine healing, prosperity gospel, asking and receiving from God, and God's divine providence. All these and many other topics are tackled not from a theoretical perspective but practically through the real life testimonies of the author over a period of 32 years. The reality of God's hand in these testimonies almost leaves one wondering whether this book should be filed under religious fiction section. Such is the wonder working power of our God, Jehovah, the Almighty, the Ancient of Days.
About the Author: Moses Chundu is a distinguished economist, author, an academic and consultant on business, economics and strategy based in Harare. Formerly Economic Advisor to the Prime Minister of Zimbabwe during the GNU era, he is a practicing Christian, Pastor and Founder of Pilgrims Ministries Church based in Zimbabwe. He is married to Tsitsi and are blessed with three kids; Grace, Joshua and Caleb. Orphaned at the age of 15, left with nothing, in a hopeless case, Moses had to fight his own battles to become one of the finest economists Zimbabwe has produced. He holds an Msc in Economics and is studying towards his PhD in Economics. He has multiple callings being an economist by training, pastor by calling, a family man by nature, nationalist by passion, and author by choice. He has been setting records in all these multiple spheres leaving a mark in the history of Zimbabwe. He owes it all to God the Almighty who has walked with him on his 39 year journey since he was born in a remote village in northern Zimbabwe. His philosophy of work in life is doing everything as unto the Lord according to the word of God. Because of this, you cannot miss his touch of excellence in whatever he does. In his 15 year career, he has worked for 8 different organizations in different capacities all at managerial and executive levels. One thing marks his tracks, it's what he calls 'Apostolic Professional Calling' where he is always everywhere engaged in pioneering activities in all the assignments he has had to date. He is an excellent builder and once it's done, he moves to the next challenge. He has wrapped all this experience in availing himself to serve more organizations as a consultant on business, economic, governance and strategy matters. This professional life has not taken his hands off the spiritual plough as he doubles as a full time pastor of a ministry he founded 9 years ago. In ministry he is inspired by Apostle Paul and has vowed to survive on his 'tents' and never to take a cent out of the church. As a result, he preaches the balanced gospel addressing the threefold pillars of humanity; spiritual, emotional and physical with the authority of an Apostle. When all is done he still has to be the loving husband and father he is, the brother he is, and all that comes with the African extended family. In all these challenges God's grace has proved sufficient for him. This life and background is what has inspired the writing of "Modern Walk with the Ancient of Days".
