Inhaltsangabe: Gang der Untersuchung: Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit soll insbesondere auf die Zielgruppe der „14- bis 29-jährigen" Privat-M-Commerce-User eingegangen werden, stellen sie doch den größten Anteil der deutschen Handy-Nutzerschaft dar. Zukünftige mobile Dienste und Anwendungen, die privat genutzt werden könnten, sollen auf Art und Form untersucht werden, bevor Rückschlüsse bzgl. des Nutzens und der Akzeptanz gemacht werden können. Die Arbeit ist daher in drei Abschnitte untergliedert. Teil eins beschreibt in den Kapiteln zwei und drei die Basisaspekte des Mobilfunks bzw. der mobilen Internetanwendungen. Auf die technischen Details wurde dabei verzichtet. Vielmehr soll ein grundlegender Überblick geschaffen werden, der die Möglichkeiten des M-Commerce erkennen lässt. Durch die Klärung verschiedener Definitionen können ferner Angaben über die Rahmenbedingungen und technischen Infrastrukturen des M-Commerce gemacht werden, wie auch über die Struktur und Bedürfnisse der zukünftigen Nutzer. Eine Übersicht der möglichen Erfolgsfaktoren soll das Potenzial von mobilen Internetdiensten deuten und die Kategorien denkbarer Anwendungsbereiche aufzeigen. Diese sind im dritten Kapitel näher beschrieben. Nach der Erörterung der Grundlagen des Mobilen Internet wird im vierten Kapitel auf den eigentlichen Schwerpunkt dieser Arbeit eingegangen. Durch eine gezielte Gegenüberstellung des Nutzens und der Kosten, die durch die Nutzung von M-Commerce entstehen, können fundierte Überlegungen bzgl. der zukünftigen Entwicklung gemacht werden. Betriebswirtschaftliche Hintergründe finden hier ebenso Anwendung wie die Berücksichtigung technischer Raffinessen der mobilen Medien. Kapitel fünf stellt den letzten Teil der eigentlichen Arbeit dar und rundet diese mit eigenen Marktforschungsergebnissen ab. Der dafür zugrundegelegte explorative Fragebogen ist im Anhang zu finden.
