Zu diesen Geschäftsprozessen gehören Prozesse aus vielen Bereichen des Unternehmens, so sind bspw. Marketing, Vertrieb und Service involviert, die durch das mCRM "mobilisiert" werden müssen. Ein Unternehmen kann sich bei dieser Umstellung nicht nur Kostensenkungen durch Prozessbeschleunigungen erhoffen, auch werden die Informationsflüsse verbessert. Das charakteristische Ziel eines CRM, die Stärkung der Kundenbindung, führt zu einer Umsatzsteigerung, die dem langfristigen Ziel der Unternehmung dient, Profite zu erwirtschaften. Mobile Akteure können dabei sowohl Kunde als auch Mitarbeiter sein. So können in der Perspektive "mobiler Kunde" Dienste bereitgestellt werden, die dem Kunden aktiv helfen, ohne dass dafür große unternehmerische Ressourcen verbraucht würden. Durch personalisierte Inhalte und der Ausnutzung von Mobilen Mehrwerte, wie der Ubiquität und der Kontextsensitivität, lassen sich Kunden darin bestätigen, dass sich das Unternehmen um ihre Belange kümmert. In der Ausprägung "mobiler Mitarbeiter" können Informationen bereitgestellt werden, die es dem Außendienst erlauben, zum Kunden zu fahren, ihm Produkte anzubieten und die Auftragsabwicklung dabei direkt mit dem Unternehmen abzustimmen, ohne dabei notwendigerweise ins Büro zurück fahren zu müssen.
