Nach der Erläuterung der Problemstellung und der Relevanz der Thematik, werden zunächst die theoretischen Grundlagen erarbeitet. Dabei befasst sich der Autor zuerst mit der Einflussnahme von Führungskräften, um dann näher auf die 2-Faktoren-Theorie von Herzberg einzugehen. Anschließend wird die Motivation von Mitarbeitern näher untersucht. Im späteren Verlauf werden diese Theorien mithilfe von leitfadengestützten Experteninterviews auf ihre Gültigkeit überprüft. Als Experten wurden drei Personen mit Führungsverantwortung interviewt. Die Interviews fanden bei einem Finanzdienstleiser in Dortmund statt. Um die leitfadengestützten Interviews durchführen zu können, werden im dritten Kapitel die Methoden beschrieben. Dafür werden als erstes das Forschungsdesign und die Stichprobe beschrieben. Anschließend wird näher erläutert, warum qualitative Forschung für das Thema dieser Seminararbeit und die Beantwortung der Forschungsfrage geeignet ist. Nach der Vorstellung der Gütekriterien qualitativer Forschung erfolgt eine kurze Erläuterung des Kategoriensystems. Anschließend stellt der Autor die Interviewleitfragen vor und die daraus abgeleiteten Kategorien. Im letzten Kapitel werden die Ergebnisse aus den Experteninterviews dargelegt und schließlich interpretiert. Führungskräfte stehe heutzutage vor der Herausforderung das Umfeld des Mitarbeiters so zu gestalten, dass die Motivation dieser aktiviert wird und diese ihre Aufgaben bestmöglich erledigen.
