In verschiedenen Lernkontexten können unterschiedliche Arten von Medien genutzt werden. Vor allem durch die Einführung des Web 2.0 wurde die Palette der zur Verfügung stehenden Medien erheblich erweitert. Einige Medien eignen sich in besonderer Weise für bestimmte Lernkontexte und sind in diesen effektiver als andere. Wie effektiv Medien in Lernprozessen sind ist jedoch nicht nur von der Eignung für den jeweiligen Lernkontext abhängig, sondern auch die Qualität des Mediums spielt für die Effektivität eine entscheidende Rolle. Beispielsweise ist eine beschädigte Schultafel auch in einer Präsenzsitzung sehr ineffektiv. Um die Qualität eines Lernmediums zu bestimmen und dadurch Aussagen über die Effektivität machen zu können, gibt es wissenschaftliche Evaluationsmodelle wie beispielsweise das im Laufe dieser Arbeit vorgestellte Bewertungstool von Müller, Oeste & Söllner (2015). Gegenstand der hier durchgeführten Evaluation ist das Screencast-Tutorial: "Das virtuelle Klassenzimmer von Adobe connect", dessen Design dem ARCS-Modell entsprechend gestaltet wurde. Ein Fragebogen dient als Evaluationsinstrument, um durch die Rezipienten die Qualität des Screencast-Tutorials zu bewerten. Die Ergebnisse dieses Fragebogens werden im Verlauf dieser Evaluation dargestellt und diskutiert, um dadurch folgende Forschungsfrage beantworten zu können: "Wie bewerten Auszubildende mit mindestens grundlegenden Computerkenntnissen und ohne Vorwissen bezüglich der Software Adobe connect die Qualität des Screencast-Tutorials: "Das virtuelle Klassenzimmer von Adobe connect" hinsichtlich der Qualitätsdimensionen Didaktisches Design, Inhalt/Content, Mediendesign, Soziale Aspekte, Usability und Story Telling?"
