Minstrel Art is a short illustrated book highlighting my spiritual journey of self discovery and self development spanning over 25 years. My beginner artist collection consists of 12 acrylic and watercolor paintings with some in depth and brief explanations and descriptions. There are also a few real life strange, intriguing and personal stories included which have mainly happened earlier in my life . Writing poems and limericks as a young teenager was a very funny and entertaining past time. I was surprised and very inspired after I had written some thoughtful and nice rhyming poetry for this book, after so many years. All of this creativity was unknown and unexpected when I first picked up that long and slim painting brush. I just wanted to paint, simply because I like colors. These pictures show some of the specific ways and tools I have used to grow, change and heal myself to be able to manifest the extraordinary gifts and talents buried within me. I believe we are all born with incredible potential to become unique and fantastic human beings. This personal choice is ours to make a practical life we want to live and be our natural best in all we do. Basically by learning to follow my intuition and listening to my calm quiet inner voice I can navigate life so much easier with a lot less stress. I have achieved better results and solutions by allowing my in built compass to naturally guide me. Obviously I made a tremendous amount of mistakes and got stuff wrong big time. This was all part of the learning process. Making mistakes helps me to learn and grow then I know how and where to improve and get things right. There is an infinite universal energy source available for everyone if they want to tap into it to use wisely for creating and working towards achieving their goals and dreams. This is not a quick fix scheme but an ongoing process which has taken me over 20 years to become skilled in practicing some of these inner gifts. Drumming has played a big part in my life since my early twenties when somebody told me I was a shaman. This very old and natural way of life has led me into exploring other worlds, dimensions and realms which I had already unknowingly been accessing since I was a small child. This scared me back then. It took a long time to overcome my fears. Painting became a great way for me to meditate and relax daily after so many years of hard work and an endless amount of stress. This also released some of my subconscious memories which was very therapeutic and helped guide me onto the next stage of my life. An enjoyable hobby that I had to wait a very long time to do. I am so glad I managed to achieve this most rewarding goal although I had no idea my art would have stunned me in such an incredible way. To all you lovely people reading this please follow you heart and do all those things you have dreamed of. I did have to make time daily and stick to my schedule because I had 2 children to look after without any useful support. My eldest child has Asperger's syndrome so each day was very challenging, especially the early teenage years. I started painting when she was almost 16 years old. I needed some healing. Spirits gave me color therapy. Life then naturally adjusted to flow freely allowing me to create all these paintings. This took over 2 years. Life was still constantly challenging but I continued with my art daily. This calming project eased a lot of pain and suffering. As time passed I started to feel better, many difficulties dropped dramatically. All those lovely colors were working their magic. My paintings were looking great. I was feeling great. My deep love for nature has played an important part in my life since I was a small child. This naturally led to me caring for the environment as I grew up and could understanding all about all the destruction of our beautiful planet. This is a real tragedy which should not be still be happening.
