About the Book

The book called Mindfulness And Stress Relief by Author Aesha Shah provides information about the art of Peace. It is about stepping away from hectic days and anxious minds and taking time to pause. When we are mindful of the present moment and simply allow it to be than we open a door to our natural state of being which is accepting, loving, peaceful, kind and content. Most of us are so distracted and moving so fast that we get caught up in the world of doing or worrying about what might happen and what we should be doing. Too much doing and thinking disconnects us from our sense of being and who we really are. I write about finding this place of connection, contentment and peace in the highs and lows of life. I call it inspiration and mindfulness. Brilliant minds are not enough. Even brilliant minds recognize that they alone cannot relieve their own distress. Man is never helped in his suffering by what he thinks for himself, but only by revelation of a wisdom greater than his own. It is this which lifts him out of this distress. No problem can be solved from the same level of thinking that created it. We can't simply think ourselves out of our struggle, Yet we spend Painful hours trying to do just struggle. To relieve distress, it requires a bigger perspective and wisdom beyond what we know. This is the time to recognize that we may not be able to solve our own problem and find peace. The revelation comes when we can ask for help, and trust in what is unknown. This takes courage from the heart. When we allow our heart to speak, transformation becomes possible. Don't let the ego win this battle. It will never find the peace you yearn for. What we resist persists. Noticing where we have resistance is a powerful practice. I keep thinking about how I want things to be a certain way, yet it's out of my control. And rather than letting it go and letting it be, I find my thoughts still hanging on how things were and how I don't want things to be happening right now. I ask myself that Why is this happening?, How can I escape the unfairness of it?, How can I make things right? This kind of thinking only takes me away from being present and makes me feel off balance and fearful. There is a tightness around my heart. Do not resist. Any energy you fight, you are feeding. If you are pushing something away, you are inviting it to stay. Whenever we push something away, we bring energy to it and it resists. The more we push, the more energy is created, and so it resists even more in order to stay. I love messages that hit me like a cold wet fish being slapped across the face. Others might think of it as a kind of wake up call. Hello river, here I come again. Consider what you have been resisting that is still firmly there. Feel the fish slap, let it go and join me in the flow once more. This book is Inspiring and creates positive stumbling blocks of inspiration and mindfulness.
