About the Book

The Otherworld The Apocalypse surprised everyone. The Creator returning to Earth at the Great Exhibition in 1851 overturned everything people thought they understood and ushered in a new age of... well some people thought of it as innocence, others saw it as the end of opportunity - if opportunity meant exploiting others.A small world population, no more wars or murder, a life expectancy that was possibly infinite and and the joyous irresponsibility of childhood extended to the age of forty-two.The Creator retired to the seaside, surrounded by his elite Guard of girls who dressed like pantomime principal boys and were all masters of the deadliest martial art known to man and left the shaken-up world to its own devices, apart from realizing that he couldn't experience the joy of innocence himself, so he created one more time. He made someone to experience it for him, intending to reel him in and assimilate his experiences into himself. And so Orson was born, in the town of Pentwater, cursed, as he saw it, to keep on falling in love with girls who were never available for the long haul. All he wanted was to find his soul mate, someone to wake up next to every morning and to love and share his life with, but instead he found himself embroiled with girls planning to emigrate - or become nuns.Pushed into a translocation portal by his neighbour, Orson becomes stuck in The Town Without a Name, somewhere at the seaside...In his new home town, Orson's curse sees him tangled up with a voodoo priestess, mermaids, fairy story characters and, of course, nuns. Then there are stowaways, mermaids, girls who are only alive in the pages of a book or behind the glass of a mirror and a girl who cannot leave the enchanted forest she lives in...It's a world of magic.. Fairies, demons, imps, sea deities... and a cat-girl, Mimi. This book is mainly about her - and a couple of nuns, Sister Ethanol and Sister Morphine...
About the Author: Ivan Bradley has been an illustrator and photographer all his life but has always written just for the heck of it. For some years he has been - sort of - working on a science-fantasy saga, mainly in disjointed notes form which has largely been set in an alternative "otherworld." Recently, he decided to try and put some of the million and a half words into some sort of order, and it's been very favourably received by those on whom he's inflicted it. "This is actually literature!" and, "This is the most unique piece of writing I've ever seen!' have been fairly common responses, along with, "You have got to get this out so people can read it!" Well, here is the beginning of "getting it out there." I hope it''s as entertaining as my captive audience claim it is. There's a lot more to come,
