Magisterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2008 im Fachbereich Politik - Politische Theorie und Ideengeschichte, Note: 1,5, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (Geschwister-Scholl-Institut), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Ist ein Zustand von dauerhaftem Frieden zwischen den Menschen angesichts der menschlichen Erfahrung von Leid und Krieg eine reine Utopie? - so lautet das Thema dieser Arbeit. Der Verfasser geht sein Thema aus zwei verschiedenen Blickrichtungen - dem der Gegenseitigkeits- und Antizipationslogik und dem der politischen Anthropologie an. Dabei kommt er unter dem ersten Aspekt zu dem Ergebnis, dass Friede im Kontext einer Ordnung von Recht und Gewalt stets nur kurzfristig und regional begrenzt den Frieden zu sichern vermag, was er an historischen Beispielen zu belegen versucht. Unter dem zweiten Aspekt, dem der politischen Anthropologie, kommt er zu einem ähnlichen Ergebnis. Da die Friedenssicherung im Kontext einer Ordnung von Macht und Gewalt stets von einer politischen Anthropologie à la Thukydides, Machiavelli und Hobbes ausgehe - von einem tendenziell pessimistischen Menschenbild also - könne sie nur von begrenzter Reichweite sein. Das Anliegen des Verfassers ist es letztlich nachzuweisen, dass diese 'negative' Anthropologie durch eine 'positive' ersetzt werden müsse, wenn man das Ziel dauerhaften Friedens ernst nehme. Letztlich streben alle Menschen nach Frieden, betrachten diesen aber erst als erreicht, wenn ihre Ziele wenigstens annäherungsweise erreicht würden und ihre Bedürfnisse gestillt. Dies führe tatsächlich zu dem Hobbes'schen bellum omnium contra omnes. Da den Menschen das Bedürfnis nach Frieden aber letztlich eingeboren sei, bleibe ihnen nichts anderes übrig als auf der Suche nach dem Guten den von Platon vorgezeichneten Erkenntnisweg des Philosophen zu beschreiten. Und diesen Erkenntnisweg zeichnet der Verfasser in stetem Blick auf das platonische Sonnen- und Höhlengleichnis - man ist geradezu versucht, zu sagen: liebevoll - nach. Nur so könne er üb
