About the Book

Servicio Social Universitario es la reunión de textos relacionados con Memorias Universitarias. El taller de Lectura cuyo inicio se dio con adultos que asistían frecuentemente a la Biblioteca. El mismo se extendió a sus niños, quienes ya recibían lecturas de la bibliotecaria Yolanda López Cruz. Este servicio se extendió a las Escuelas Primarias donde se empezaron a gestar diversos talleres como el de Periodismo, Cultura Constitucional, Fotografía, ajedrez y Fotografía. Todos ellos se refieren al trabajo realizado como prestador de servicios social en bibliotecas públicas del Municipio de Tijuana. Es la reunión de proyectos sobre talleres realizados durante aproximadamente 18 meses en la biblioteca Pública Francisco Eusebio Kino, de Lomas del Porvenir, Tijuana, Baja California.
About the Author: Guillermo Beltrán Villanueva (Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, 1947), fue integrante de la primera generación de la Escuela de Humanidades de la Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC), graduándose en la generación 1994-1998, como Licenciado en Literatura de Hispanoamericana. Miembro fundador del Taller de Poesía y Composición del ITT, con el maestro Jesús Gerardo Villegas, en 1974. Ha publicado en diversas revistas y periódicos tales como Reportaje, Bajo Palabra, Zeta, El Heraldo, ABC, Contacto de B. C., Revista Tijuana Poética del Proyecto Existir, y la revista Sin Límites. En 2006 le fue seleccionado un poema en lengua inglesa: "The Sigh", para abrir la colección denominada "Timeless Voices", compilación del editor Howard Ely de The International Library of Poetry. Esta obra se suma a los libros publicados José y Rosalía un Romance que Perdura, Versos en la Arena, Poesía Mínima, Evocaciones de Primavera, Cuentos Absurdos, Figuraciones Mías, Odas Urbanas, Obsesiones, Relatos Escombristas, Calaveras, Poemas de café y té, la trilogía Al Borde de la Línea, Prolepsis, La Casa de Los Recuerdos, Disquisiciones Poéticas, Tijuana Ciudad de Poetas, 3 tomos de Relatos de Humanidades, la trilogía Conversaciones, El Mono Kimono, entre otras obras en coautoría. Dirigió el Proyecto Editorial Sin Límites, 2016, bajo la tutela de la Asociación de Clubes, Sociedades y Comités Democráticos A. C., conocida como Asumo A.C., con el fin de ayudar a los escritores emergentes y con pocos recursos para publicar. Por medio de ese programa a destacando entre varios los libros: Siento mi Corazón de la Poeta Rosalía Sánchez García y, del poeta Octavio Islas Sánchez: Tu Recuerdo Muere en mí, Reflexión Bajo Palabra, Así Soy yo, y Tommy y Timby, este Último con Ilustraciones de la artista Michelle Beltrán. Islas. El cuento infantil titulado El Niño que ve al Cielo de la escritora Mónica Eguía Serrano, el Poemario, Notas Rebuscadas de la poetisa Sabine Guerra, alias Penumbra; el poemario Llévame, del escritor bilingüe (español y lengua Yaqui) Damián Jiocamea Valenzuela, alias Marthell Gio, y el libro Los Cuentos y mis Aventuras del escritor Raúl Chollet Osuna y la obra magistral del historiador Rafael Z Flores González, Historias y Cuentos Breves.
