Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2022 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Medienpädagogik, Note: 2,3, FernUniversität Hagen (Kultur und Sozialwissenschaften), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Gegenstand dieser Hausarbeit ist die Förderung der reflexiven Mediennutzung in der Adoleszenz unter Einsatz von Instagram in der Sekundarstufe II. Das Ziel hierbei ist es, die Chancen und Grenzen beim Einsatz von Instagram zur Förderung der Medienkompetenz Jugendlicher zu diskutieren und zu präsentieren. Dafür erfolgt zunächst die Einordnung der theoretischen Grundlage, gefolgt von Begriffsbestimmungen zur Medienkompetenzförderung Jugendlicher. Sodann wird der aktuelle Forschungsstand zur Mediennutzung und Instagram im Alltag Jugendlicher dargestellt. Bevor über die Chancen und Grenzen des Instagrameinsatzes im Unterricht berichtet wird, erfolgt eine Analyse über den Einsatz von Instagram im Unterricht sowie sein Aufbau und seine Struktur. Im Fazit werden sodann die Ergebnisse der Ausarbeitungen dargestellt. Jugendliche kennen mittlerweile keine Welt ohne Digitale Medien wie Smartphones, Tablets oder Laptops. Diese sind feste Bestandteile ihrer Lebenswirklichkeit geworden. Laut der JIM-Studie des Medienpädagogischen Forschungsverbund Südwest 2021, besitzen 98 % der Jugendlichen ein Smartphone. Soziale Netzwerke wie WhatsApp, Instagram oder YouTube sind beliebte Angebote, die Jugendliche täglich nutzen. Somit bieten sie großes Potenzial für den Einsatz im Schulunterricht. Jedoch können diese Medien zu mehr Ablenkbarkeit und weniger kritischem Denken führen, wobei es immer auf die Verwendung ankommt. Zwar sind Jugendliche in der Mediennutzung und -handhabung medienkompetent, jedoch hinterfragen und reflektieren sie diese weniger. So kann die unbedachte Instagramnutzung bei Jugendlichen zu potenziellen Gefahren für spätere berufliche Chancen oder auch zur Abhängigkeit führen. Zentral hierbei ist die digitalen Medien zu gebrauchen und der nachfolgenden jungen Generation frühe Medienkompetenz beizubr
