About the Book

Zerkleinerung bedeutet die Auf teilung eines festen Stoffes in kleinere Teilchen durch mechanische Kräfte. Durch diese Auf teilung werden be- stimmte Eigenschaften des Stoffes, die wesentlich von der Korngröße bzw. der Oberfläche abhängen, verstärkt. So ist z.B. der Ablauf zahl- reicher chemisch-technologischer Prozesse von der Oberflächengröße der zu verarbeitenden Stoffe abhängig. Für die Zerkleinerung steht eine große Zahl der verschiedensten Maschinen zur Verfügung, die man nach drei Arten der Grundbeanspruchung einordnen kann: a) Beanspruchung zwischen zwei Flächen: Nach diesem Prinzip arbeiten die Mehrzahl aller Zerkleinerungsma- schinen. Die Beanspruchung erfolgt in der Hauptsache durch Druck, Schlag, Reibung und Abscheren. b) Beanspruchung frei bewegter Teile an einer Fläche oder gegeneinander: D zu zerkleinernde Gut wird rein mechanisch oder durch ein Träger- medium auf eine hohe Geschwindigkeit gebracht und gegen Prallflächen oder gegeneinander geschleudert. Die Zerkleinerungsenergie hängt hierbei nur von der den Teilchen mitgeteilten kinetischen Energie ab. Dies ist das Grundkennzeichen der Prallzerkleinerung. c) Beanspruchung durch das umgebende Medium: Durch das umgebende gasförmige oder flüssige Medium können Kräfte auf die Teilchen ausgeübt werden. Von Bedeutung ist dieses Verfah- ren nur bei einer Entspannungs- oder einer Naßmahlung. Für die Zerkleinerung werden jährlich Milliarden kWh verbraucht. So wurden z.B. allein in der Zementindustrie im Jahre 1960 für Zerklei- nerung 12 Milliarden kWh benötigt. Die Energieausnutzung bei einer Zerkleinerung ist, wie wir im Verlauf der Arbeit noch sehen werden, sehr gering. Aus Wirtschaftslichkeitsgründen ist es daher nützlich, die Zerkleinerungsvorgänge zu analysieren, um auf diesem Wege evtl.
