About the Author: Roger Blakiston was born in Northumberland, England. He is a professional magician, author, visionary, and poet. He has a vast knowledge of the geography, history, culture, art, and languages of other nations. From palaces and castles to bomb shelters, for royalty, and for those who have been outcast, he has traveled across the world's oceans and walked over mine fields to perform his magic. Roger's ancestors were famous explorers, pirates, and royalty. He was born into a family of writers and travelers with a deep sense of imagination. He has walked in the footsteps of both great leaders and prophets, and over lands which have witnessed terrible wars. When Roger published his first book, The Spiritual Stage, in 2014, he thought that this would be the one and only book of his lifetime. It was in part an autobiographical tome, targeted towards entertainers, with many important spiritual messages for all. However, soon after publication, he felt inspired to write a few poems. He had been interested in poetry since he was a child, and he had kept many of his poems over the years. When he collected them all together, along with the new ones he was writing, he realized that there was enough content to create a book. Thus, his first poetry book, Forest of Song, was born. It was published in 2016. Soon after this publication, he concluded that this was not the end of his poetic journey. He found himself writing many poems over the following two years. In the spring of 2018, it seemed that the time was ripe to publish this, his third book, Meadow of Verse. Roger lives in the magical and inspiring town of Sedona, Arizona.
