About the Book

Why does a pregnant woman run for 20 years. What secret does she know. George Shoe and Ginny Gold Attorneys team up and investigate and solve cold cases. Adventure and fast paced.Missing MaryPushing his black hair out of his eyes, all six feet of George Shoe rolled over in bed and smiled at his bride-to-be. Ginny the vivacious red headed, blue eyed lady who had gripped his heart, laid next to him and she was sound asleep. Now they were partners both in business and love. They had a law practice which had the phones ringing all day and sometimes even long into the night. G & G Law Practice was doing extremely well for a new start up.George's cell phone's alarm rang and Ginny stirred."Is it time to get up already Babe?" she said sleepily. I feel like I just fell asleep."George slapped the mattress and said, "Yes, come on, get up. We have an appointment in one hour at our new office so let's get snapping," George jumped out of bed and headed for the shower. Ginny slowly got up and joined George. He was in great shape and Ginny enjoyed the view. Because he still rode his bicycle every chance he had, George kept in shape. But he still loved his motorcycle. He named it Bad Baby and rode it every chance he had. Ginny had a car; a cute little red MG, but Bad Baby was George's first vehicular love story.Together they had rented a moderate size space in a good professional location in downtown San Diego. It even had its own parking lot; a real plus for any downtown office. So far, their only office staff other than themselves was their new office manager/receptionist/legal secretary/assistant, jack-of-all-trades, Annie Tesch. She knew everything about that office and about every case on file in their practice. Ginny and George each had their own office, Annie had space in the reception-lobby area and there were two unused offices available for future growth in the practice. A large conference room and a kitchenette/lunch area filled the rest of their space.George arrived first on his Bad Baby. Ginny drove in and parked next to him in her little red MG. They arrived ten minutes early and sat down in the conference room behind a long, important looking, wooden table. Ginny had found it in a thrift store and it added just the right note of professionalism. They both grasped mugs of hot coffee in their hands.Annie, with her long willowy body and short curly black hair, which seemed to have a life all its own, walked into the room, ushering in their first client of the day. "This is Ms. Jerry Green," said Annie. Their secretary was always well dressed and today was no exception. She was dressed in a red dress slacks, matching blazer and black sweater. Annie looked altogether professional and stunning. "Do you need anything?" "No, we're fine for now, Annie," said George. Annie went back to her reception area, closing the door as she walked out.The person who had followed Annie into the room was a frightened young woman who looked, to Ginny and George, like she had just seen a ghost. Scared was definitely not a good look on her. She wasn't tall but she appeared to be in great shape. The first thing you noticed when you looked at her was that her green eyes were huge with fright. She was wearing nondescript clothes, her shoulder length, mousy brown hair looked limp and her big green eyes looked haunted."Please, sit down Ms. Green," said George pointing to a chair opposite him at the table. "How can we help you?"
