They captured the brig, tried the crew for mutiny and hung them ... all except Captain Thomson and his First Officer. About the Author: Dennis Wesley Clark accumulated a diverse set of experiences that uniquely prepared him for insightful story telling. As a youth, he grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and became familiar with boating. He enjoyed the magnificent grander of the old sailing ships docked at the Treasure Island Naval Base and at other docks in San Francisco Bay. He also witnessed the old derelicts in the mud flats along the bay and in the backwaters of the Delta. Each, pampered and abandoned, had a story to tell ... a history. Later, he lived in Costa Rica, Honduras and Venezuela, learning the language and culture. He saw the remnants of Aztecs, Mayans and Incas. He was privileged to see the artifacts left by the Conquistadors. He saw the monuments to the revolution for independence. He served in the Army in Vietnam as an artillery Staff Sergeant along the DMZ. In college, he earned a degree in Finance and later an MBA. He worked in the aerospace and defense industry at various locations in the USA and England. These combined travel, educational, military and business experiences provided him a unique view of the world and history and led him to become a history buff.
