Die Marburger Vorlesung aus dem Sommersemester 1926 darf trotz ihres Entwurfscharakters zu Recht als die in der Denkphase von Sein und Zeit versuchte Heideggersche Version eines philosophierenden Durchgangs durch die Geschichte der griechischen Philosophie bis zu Aristoteles betrachtet werden. Ganz im Sinne des Geschichtsverstandnisses von Sein und Zeit kommt es den vorliegenden Interpretationen darauf an, den entscheidenden Anfang der abendlandischen Philosophie als immer reicher und differenzierter sich gestaltenden Prozess der Entdeckung des Seins aus dem Seinenden zu wiederholen, weil sich die gegenwartige Philosophie nur so hinreichend ihre Fragemoglichkeiten aneignen konne. In einem Ersten hinfuhrenden Teil nimmt sich die Vorlesung die aristotelische Behandlung der vorangegangenen griechischen Philosophien im Ersten Buch der Metaphysik zum Wegweiser. Heidegger wahlt zur Leitlinie seiner eigenen Beschaftigung mit der griechischen Philosophie den Gedanken vom Unterschied zwischen Seiendem und Sein. Der Zweite Teil der Vorlesung behandelt, beginnend mit Thales, wichtige Stationen der griechischen Philosophie in Gestalt der bedeutenden Denker und Denkrichtungen. Die philosophierende Auseinandersetzung gestaltet Heidegger so, dass er sich Grundbegriffe der verschiedenen Philosophen wie z.B. Grund, Physis, Einheit - Vielheit, Logos, Wahrheit, Idee, Wissen - Wissenschaft, Kategorie, Bewegung, Moglichkeit, Energeia, Leben, Seele vornimmt und diese auf ihren inneren Bezug zum Sein hin beleuchtet. In unverkennbarem Unterschied zum spateren Verstandnis, das sich bereits in der Platon-Vorlesung vom Wintersemester 1931/32 (HGA 34) bekundet und die Geschichte der griechischen Philosophie gleichsam deszendental als Zerfallsbewegung eines ursprunglichen Seinszuspruchs deutet, sieht Heidegger in der vorliegenden Vorlesung durchaus noch eine aszendentale Bewegung der Selbstentfaltung des Seinsgedankens hin zum Hohepunkt in der aristotelischen Philosophie. Bereits bei Platon erfahrt die Seinsfrage mit der Problematisierung von Nichtsein und Werden eine entscheidende Radikalisierung. Mit der Ausbildung der Philosophie als einer Wissenschaft vom Sein bei Aristoteles bricht sich der Seinsgedanke endgultig Bahn und gelangt die innere Entfaltungsbewegung der griechischen Philosophie zu ihrem Hohepunkt. An den Stellen des Textes, an denen das Manuskript nur Stichworte und Kurznotizen lieferte bzw. weniger ausfuhrlich war, wurden im Anhang die entsprechenden Textpassagen zweier Nachschriften wiedergegeben, die - wenn auch nicht autorisiert - einen geschlossenen ausformulierten Text bieten und das Textverstandnis so entscheidend verbessern. Die Vorlesung ist ein Beleg dafur, dass Heideggers Art, den Seinsgedanken zu formulieren und auszubilden, zu einem wesentlichen Teil der Beschaftigung mit der Geschichte, den Denkgestalten und den Grundbegriffen der griechischen Philosophie entspringt.
