About the Author: Floyd Laverne Buttke Jr. has studied and practiced many forms of Martial Arts. He has studied Aikido, Archery, Bojitsu, Boxing, Fencing, Goju Ryu Karate, Golden Dragon Jeet Kune Do, Grappling, Jeet Kune Do, Judo, Jujitsu, Kali Stick Fighting, Karate, Kempo Karate, Kendo, Kenkojuku Karate, Kickboxing, Kung Fu, Nunchuku, Shorin Ryu Karate, Traditional Shotokan Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Tai Chi Chuan, Wing Chun, and Wrestling. He has over two decades of Martial Arts and teaching experience, has a fourth-degree black belt in the Martial Arts, and a second-degree black belt in Traditional Shotokan Karate. He received his first-degree black belt in Traditional Shotokan Karate from Grand Master Hidetaka Nishiyama. He is a member of the International San Ten Karate Association, International San Ten Martial Arts Federation and Golden Dragon Jeet Kune Do Association. In addition to his Martial Arts honors and certificates, he has a bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies and a K-12 teaching credential from California State University Fresno.
