Für was sollen Konzerne die hohen Werbeinvestitionen aufbringen, um die Konsumentenzielgruppen mit ihren beworbenen Markenprodukten möglichst erfolgreich erreichen zu können? Eine Option stellt die Investition in die Marke des Unternehmens dar. Eine Statistik des Statistik- Onlineportals "Statista" aus dem Jahr 2009 verdeutlicht die enormen Beträge, die deutsche Unternehmen in ihre Marken investieren. So erreichen die die drei Unternehmen mit den höchsten Markenwerten Zahlenwerte von ca. 17 Millionen Euro im Jahr 2009. Generell erreichen die ersten sieben Unternehmen allesamt Markenwerte im zweistelligen Millionenbereich. Unternehmen können sich über den Aufbau einer starken Marke von anderen Wettbewerbern abgrenzen. Dies gelingt vor allem über einen verkörperten emotionalen Zusatznutzen, der sich in einer aussagekräftigen Markenpersönlichkeit ausdrückt. Eine Möglichkeit um Markenpersönlichkeiten zu bilden bzw. zu beeinflussen stellen Testimonials dar. Die vorliegende Arbeit beschränkt sich auf prominente Testimonials als direkte Treiber der Markenpersönlichkeit. Prominente können beispielsweise die Produktbeurteilung und das Image eines Unternehmens positiv beeinflussen. Wie gut eignen sich Prominente als Testimonials um Markenpersönlichkeiten zu bilden? Können durch den Einsatz von Prominenten Werbewirkungserfolge beim Rezipienten erzielt werden und falls ja, von welchen Faktoren hängt es ab, ob Prominente dazu dienen können Werbewirkungserfolge zu generieren?
